With the walking portion of our project now concluded, this site will persist as an archive for all aspects of "2020: Total Clarity," our 7,000 mile, 260 marathon walking journey around New York City from June 2020 - June 2021. If you're just visiting for the first time, here is a clip from our appearance on The Today Show profiling our adventure:
Please take a look around the site to learn more about the walk routes, our seasonal clothing collection, the companion podcast series, and much more.
For all other completed and ongoing subprojects of "2020: Total Clarity," including our widely publicized NYC bagel review project "Everything Is Everything," visit our linktree page and follow along via Instagram and YouTube.
Our first jaunt into North Queens starts with a passage on foot through Elmhurst and Corona. Cutting up through Flushing and taking a right at Spa Castle in College Point, we round the turn at Crocheron Park and Little Neck Bay. The route back takes us by the scenic Long Island Expressway and through Queens College.
Our survey of Northwest Queens starts with a walk through Ridgewood, cutting across cemetery territory to walk up the coast of Hunter's Point, Dutch Kills and Astoria. We sweep by LaGuardia airport and tag the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Park before cutting across Jackson Heights and down through Sunnyside and Maspeth.
Beach days begin with trip down to the tip of Breezy Point and the southernmost tip of Brooklyn. We'll pass a couple of parks along the way, including Canarsie Park, Fort Tilden and Floyd Bennett Field. We'll walk the length of Rockaway beach and take a tour of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge before hopping on the Broad Channel A train for home.
Our trip was through North and Central Brooklyn and a friend suggested we visit the hidden gem Bush Terminal park. Take a look around with us!
